Coordinates and oversees the entire import/entry/transportation clearance process for the accounts that have been assigned to them. This includes but is not limited to the release procedure of Customs, and various other government related agencies. The release of the shipment by the overseas transportation entity that moved the cargo from its point of export to its arrival point in the United Sates. The movement of designated shipment from its arrival point to its intended final destination as assigned to them by the Importer. They must also keep the import or his assigned agent informed of the shipment status at all phases in the release of the transportation process. If requested by the importer/agent, they can recommend transportation companies and compile transportation rates. They are obliged to insure that the entry file is billed at the proper rate to the correct billing party in a timely manner.
