The List 4 products scheduled to incur additional 10% duties on September 1, 2019 has now been modified. The original list, now known as List 4A will cover the majority of the original items and still be effective September 1st.
List 4B has been broken out from the original list and these products will not be subject to the 10% duties until December 15, 2019. This includes items in the following tariff groups: cell phones, laptops, video game consoles, certain toys, computer monitors and some footwear and clothing.
Finally, the USTR issued a notice stating that the additional 10 percent tariff on List 4 imports from China will not be imposed at all on certain products. Products have been removed from the tariff list based on health, safety, national security and other factors.
For products on list 4A, the tariff will go into effect September 1. USTR also intends to conduct an exclusion process for products subject to the tariff. See full details of the respective lists below.
Your Connor team is currently scrubbing these lists to come up with reports that will identify how products of our customers will be impacted. Stay tuned for further developments.
