More Exclusions from China Tariffs Approved

More Exclusions from China Tariffs Approved

The USTR has approved more List 3 products for exclusions from China tariffs and we are awaiting instructions from Customs and Border Protection on the implementation details.

These exclusions apply to any product that meets the description in the Annex to USTR exclusion notices, regardless of which importer filed the exclusion request. The scope of each exclusion is governed by the Annex to the USTR notice which can be viewed here. These exclusions cover 34 product descriptions and will apply as of September 24, 2019. If importers find their products on exclusion lists they may recover previously paid duties through a Post Summary Correction (PSC) or by filing a Protest. Exclusions are valid for one year.

We continue to monitor the trade war developments and look forward to results soon from the current negotiations underway. So far the signals are mixed as to what type of agreement, if any, may be reached before the next round of scheduled U.S. increases scheduled for December 15th. We will do our best to keep you advised.

Please let us know if any questions.
