Maryland Governor Names Transportation Systems as an Essential Industry.

Governor Hogan has issued an imperative guidance statement that essential businesses, organizations and facilities may remain open. The Transportation Systems Sector is included in the federal critical infrastructure sectors.

The Transportation Systems Sector includes carriers of marine freight, air, rail, truck, and intermodal terminals and operators. Includes stevedores, longshoremen, and those who handle cargo at transportation hubs.

We agree that the work performed by the Transportation Systems industry provides shipping, logistics and transport/customs clearance services - vital and essential to the critical industries that must remain in operation to respond to this pandemic crises.

This is welcome news as it means that we will continue to manage our client’s needs - with all of the safeguards recommended by the CDC and local authorities. The health and welfare of our employees, subcontractors and their families is our first concern.

At John S. Connor, we respect the willingness of our team to do their part during these very difficult and unprecedented times.

We hope this news finds you in good health.

Sincerely, Lee Connor, President
