Genset Shortage for Agricultural Exports

The instability in the global logistics market has made itself known in reefer exports along the East Coast. Due to some rerouting of vessels to the East Coast, the situation is creating congestion and a shortage of gensets for export reefer containers. Equipment positioning issues have indicated that a flux of import reefer containers have been gobbling up gensets and making them hard to find for outbound export shipments. This has resulted in delayed shipments and chassis split fees. John S. Connor is working closely with our steamship line partners, pushing them to find options and solutions. Even now, they are working on contingencies that will reroute more gensets to the Norfolk port over the next two weeks. We will continue to update you as the situation unfolds. We are committed to our high level of service, even in these uncertain times.
