USTR Extends Exclusions Deadline for COVID-19

On September 27, 2021, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) published an announcement regarding the additional Section 301 duties levied on medical care COVID 19 products from China. To provide time for the USTR to review the comments it received in response to the August 27, 2021 request for comments (see here), the USTR has determined to adopt an interim extension of these exclusions for 45 days. (November 14, 2021)

As noted above, the product exclusions provided relief from additional section 301 duties on medical care COVID 19 products from China. A list of impacted products may be found in the original Federal Register Notice published on December 29th, 2020. (Annex - A, B, C and D)
