John S Connor has handled spirits and time-sensitive food products for numerous suppliers and distributors for over 50 years. Our clients rely on us for clearance of import containers and air shipments with Customs and other partner government agencies (PGA).

We expertly review and manage required documentation – commercial invoices, certificates of age/origin, bill of ladings, and arrival notices collected prior to the arrival. Filing the required data elements to CBP, FDA and TTB to ensure accurate and compliant customs entry. Additionally, we assist in setting up an Importer ACH and deferred tax with CBP.

Upon release from Customs and any Partnering Government Agency, our team assists in arranging and monitoring the transporting and delivery of the freight to the consignee – for consumption cleared at the port of arrival, from a bonded warehouse or a Foreign Trade Zone.

Our staff is very active in the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA). Our staff serve on various subcommittees, assisting with policy and regulatory development, pilot programs to test and provide feedback such as ACE, FDA, CBMA/TTB, electronic FTZ 214, including the weekly withdrawal program, and SIMP/NOAA.

We were identified as one of the top Craft Beverage Modernization Provisions filers by CBP and were actively involved in testing of the 2021 CBMA electronic deployment. John S. Connor was a First Partner Member of the Distilled Spirits Council, our CEO was awarded World Trade Center Institute’s Maryland International Leadership Award.
