On June 13, 2025, CBP published updated guidance regarding section 232 reporting for aluminum Imports where the country of smelt and or cast is unknown. Starting June 28, 2025, importers must report unknown (UN) for the iso code and report HTS 9903.85.67 or 9903.85.68, as applicable. As a result of reporting “unknown” the 200% section 232 duty for Russia will be assessed on the entry line.
