Beginning July 8, 2026, importers must electronically submit product safety certificate data via CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) at the time of entry. This requirement extends to Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) entries on January 8, 2027. Proactive eFiling reduces port hold times and physical border examinations.
Affected Products & HTS Codes
The rule applies to finished consumer goods subject to any CPSC safety rule, ban, or standard (requiring a CPC or GCC). Importers can cross-reference their inventory against the roughly 600 flagged classifications using the CPSC Guidance and HTS List for Electronic Certificates or monitor broader updates via the CPSC eFiling Document Library.
To meet CPSC regulations for data accuracy and compliance, importers are advised to thoroughly gather and verify all required product data. To ensure seamless customs clearance, JSC provides comprehensive eFiling oversight; our specialists handle the electronic entry preparation, execute the timely transmission, and provide proactive response monitoring as part of our enhanced regulatory compliance solutions.
