Recently, John S. Connor hosted a group of University of Maryland students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business to learn about logistics operations and services. This opportunity afforded Maryland Smith undergraduate and MBA students interested in companies with global operations, supply chain and logistics, to learn about concepts in international business while highlighting industry right here in Maryland.
Students who participate in the IB Treks in Maryland learn from companies that range in size, industry, and sector, and are introduced to the various ways a company does business across borders, their business culture, and life as a business professional.
“We were thrilled to open our doors to the Center for Global Business, and the wonderful students, to tour our operation and better understand how John S. Connor is part of the Baltimore and global business ecosystem”, stated Lee Connor, President.
One of the world’s premier business schools, the Robert H. Smith School of Business, offers top-ranked degree programs with international business content from the undergraduate to executive level.
The mission of the Center for Global Business is to connect the diverse members of the Smith School community (students, faculty, staff, alumni) to the world and the world to the Smith School, to provide these members and partners with opportunities to gain a global mindset and build international business skills, and to serve as a Maryland resource center for companies seeking to take their goods and services into the global marketplace.
